Beauty of the soul

I often wonder why do people associate so much importance to a beautiful face or a beautiful body. I have always thought (and believed too) that true beauty of a person lies in one's thoughts. Indeed, a beautiful soul is bound to be an attractive person even though the mirror or the society chooses to spell otherwise.
